How long will training take?

This depends on the individual. There are a number of factors to take into account such as weather, aircraft availability and how much time you have to dedicate to study.

PPL/CPL/50 Hr: Typically, for a full time student, we recommend setting aside 2-3 months, and 6+ months for part time students (for each license).

Ratings: We typically ask that students have at least 5 days full time availability for the 7 hour float rating and 10 days – 2 weeks for the 15 hour.

Tailwheel: The average student will need approximately 10 hours. The course will take 2 days full time or 2 weeks Part-time. (3 lessons/week).

Please keep in mind that there is a lot of paperwork and applications to process through Transport Canada (they move slowly). The timelines above are solely related to actual training time.
